The leadership of the Laborers’ International Union of North America and affiliated employers have long understood that if the Union sector is to endure its stronghold in today’s very competitive construction industry, there must be a commitment to combine efforts and resources, which brought about the establishment of three jointly-administered trust funds. The Tri-Funds are made up of the Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET), the Laborers-Associated General Contractors (AGC) Education and Training Fund, and the Laborers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America (LHSFNA). Each fund recognizes the importance of labor-management cooperation to accomplish common goals of Laborers and signatory contractors. Each Region of the Laborers’ International Union of North America is assigned a Field Coordinator to coordinate services for LIUNA members, their families, and signatory contractors.
