Laborers’ Home Development Corporation and Oak Grove Development Corporation held a ribbon cutting on Tuesdayn Nov. 15, 2022, to commemorate opening of Ladd Senior Village at 2 Oak Court, Ladd, IL.

Ladd Senior Village consists of 40 units which are affordable senior housing for ages 55+. Construction started March 15, 2021, and was completed after nearly a year on March 1, 2022.

“We’re extremely proud of our relationship with this community,” said LHDC Chairman John F. Penn. “We appreciate the opportunity to help provide much-needed, high-quality, and affordable housing to senior citizens in Ladd.”

Funding was secured, in part, through the Illinois Housing Development Authority, NEF, and Horizon Bank. The development team consisted of CORE Construction, WJW Architect, and P.C. Chamlin and Associates.

The building of Ladd Senior Village employed approximately 133 local workers. The construction netted 20,863 hours worked by skilled trades people.
