Washington, D.C. (June 10, 2021) – Terry O’Sullivan, General President of LIUNA – the Laborers’ International Union of North America – made the following statement today:
LIUNA commends the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on a successful mark-up of two important pieces of legislation that significantly increase federal investments in transportation and water infrastructure. Coupled with recent actions in the United State Senate, LIUNA is encouraged that real progress toward crafting a package of infrastructure investments is being made.
We encourage all members of the 117th Congress to continue their work on these issues and deliver on their promises to the American people that the Federal government will begin investing in those things that make our lives easier and our economy function.
