When February 2021 brought Winter Storm Uri, many Texas communities were devasted, without power, water, food, and shelter. The LiUNA Midwest Region partnered with Local 1095 in Austin, and more than 80 boxes of non-perishable food. The donations were given to the Catholic Charities of San Antonio, a local nonprofit that serves all people, regardless of race, religion, or national origin.
