Local 773 Member Running Boston Marathon for Kids with Disabilities

Charley Ferguson, Local 773 officer and proud construction laborer is making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities “one step at a time.” Not only is he running in the Boston Marathon on Monday, he’s running to raise money so these children can receive the therapy they so desperately need.

“I have vowed to run the marathon in honor of my uncle who suffers from debilitating disabilities resulting from an accident,” said Charley. “I hope that my journey will inspire others to open their hearts to children in need of therapy and give them the opportunity to walk, talk, and lead happier more productive lives.”

The Therapy Center of Southern Illinois ( Local 773’s official charity) is a 501-c3 non-profit organization which provides services such as pediatric physical and speech therapy, necessary medical equipment in a safe caring environment for free.
