Governor Pritzker Attends Local 773 Meeting – BIF at Forefront of Speeches

On August 26th, Governor J.B. Pritzker dropped by Local 773’s meeting in Marion, IL. The Governor, who has announced for re-election, appeared alongside Illinois Secretary of Treasury Susana Mendoza, Illinois Comptroller Michael Frerichs, LIUNA Vice President and Midwest Regional Manager John Penn as well as Local 773 President Emeritus Ed Smith. Local 773 Business Manager Jerry Womick called the event “a perfect opportunity to promote candidates that promote Laborers’”. Each candidate spoke in favor of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework and pledged their support in passing it.
